OSLO, Oct 23 – IKEA, the world’s largest furniture retailer, will shift to renewable energy by 2020 and grow more trees than it uses under a plan to safeguard nature that has won support from environmentalists.

The Swedish-based group, which wants to build on many customers’ desire for a greener lifestyle, also said today it would limit sales by 2016 to energy-efficient products including induction cookers and LED light bulbs.

New Delhi, Oct 21 — To woo environment conscious customers, footwear and apparel brand Woodland said that it will convert all its stores carbon neutral by 2015 as a part of the company's corporate social responsibility."We have initiated a process under which we will convert all our (retail) stores to become carbon neutral by 2015. The initiative also includes accurate accounting of the carbon footprint of each store," Harkirat Singh, managing director, Woodland Worldwide, told IANS.

At least 56 underage interns, some of them as young as 14, were working at an eastern China factory of Apple group’s largest supplier Foxconn Technologies, it has been revealed.Following an internal investigation by the Taiwanese company, the students will now return to their
schools in the eastern Chinese city of Yantai located in the Shandong province.Some of the children said their internships were supposed to last from one to three months.
